First, I have to say how impressive your shop already is! Your photos really are amazing and your shop is nice and full. Now - for what you can do to spice things up. I would hunt down a model or take photos of yourself wearing your pieces. These don't have to be your first picture, but it's amazing what an actual person can do to help customers realize scale. Next - start evening out your shop sections. It's obvious that you really enjoy making necklaces the most. Try to focus on producing items like rings and brooches to give plenty of variety. That way you also don't have to worry about leading a customer to a section with only 2 items. Other things you can always do to change up your shop is to create a new banner, switch up your avatar, and experiment with photos. Your shop looks fabulous! Keep up the good work!
I'll jump right in as well. :) You are obviously doing well already, looking at your sales! Some more feedback:
ReplyDelete1) Peronalized Cards - spelling mistake in section. http://www.titter.com/laurabaille - spelling mistace in Shop Policies
2) Organize section - I'd place Custom at the very bottom
3) You are tag stuffing, which isn't appreciated.
4) I am missing more measurements, like height of charm - in cm as well, pls!
5) Have you considered a jewelery of the month club?
Good luck!
Gila

ReplyDeleteHow about a colorful prop.
ReplyDeleteAbout your sections..imagine going into a brick and mortar store wandering around the departments. You arrive at the earring department... a whole room with a table and a lovely earring rack... and one set of earrings? How disappointing, huh? Don't disappoint your buyers. Get rid of all the sections with less than, say 10 items.
ReplyDeleteYou can temporarily have a Miscellaneous section but do make enough to create more sections.
Your things are really lovely MORE MORE MORE!
Thank you everyone for your feedback, it is really appreciated!
ReplyDeleteThe section thing is a biggy, I'll work on that this week and get more items in some and get rid of the rest.
Gila, thanks for the sizing requirments, I totally didn't think of that. It is amazing how just a fresh pair f eyes from a customer perspective can help.
Sara, the model photos are a great point. I used to use my cousin for them, but she has moved away. When I did have them, different types of necklaces sold. This is definately something I will have to work on too.
Thank you everyone for your advise. It definately helps to have people who are looking at things for the first time to give new insights. I'll get to work on the changes.
Thanks again x
