1) Tell us about yourself, your shop and what brought you to the Etsy community.
2) Walk us through a typical day in your life.
3) Name your top 3:
-Books
-Music

-Websites
4) Where do you hope your shop will be in 1 year?
5) What is one of your favorite shops on Etsy?
6) What projects are you currently working on?
7) If you could have 1 super power, what would it be and why?
These are all great questions. I love reading the answers every week. I am all for keeping things fresh, so I'm putting it out there.
Is there something else you'd like to ask?
Is there something you would like to add to the features?
FYI... I had lots of fun looking through all the great labratsteam tagged items, 39 pages! WOOT WOOT

I think the questions you are asking are great and very informative. The only one I can think of and is ofted asked on other blogs is "Who, or what inspires your creations?"
ReplyDeleteIt seems like a lot of team and Etsy blogs ask the same kinds of questions. After reading (and writing) a bunch of them, it can start to get a bit redundant. I'm all for mixing things up, so I'm suggesting a few things that are conducive to a storytelling type of interview:
ReplyDelete• How would you feel about suggesting a few additional categories of "fun things" under question 3 - like Guilty Pleasures, Favorite Supplies, Fave Etsy Purchases, Fave Desserts, Etsy Success Tips -and then having the interviewee selecting 2 or 3 of those to answer?
• You could probably also combine Qs 1, 4, some of 3, and 6 into something like: Tell me the story behind you and your shop. What are you passionate about? How are you expressing your creativity? It's a little reworded, but it opens up the floor for some more in-depth looks at our team members and provides the opportunity for them to tell their interesting story.
• I would also personally favor putting as much emphasis on shop photos for Feature Friday as what is currently done for Wishlist Wednesday, but perhaps open up the interview with an eye-catching photo vs. a tiny shop banner.
Just a few things I could think of, but I hope it helps somehow!
